Chickpeas and Dumplings

This is a favorite recipe from the Happy Herbivore book.
4 c Homemade Chicken Broth
2 onion diced
4 garlic cloves minced
2 c brown mushrooms, sliced
4 Tbs Chicken broth powder
2 tsp trhme
2 tsp curry pwdr
1/2 tsp nutmeg
4 cups almond milk
8 Tbsp nutritional yeast
4 c chickpeas
frozen veggie mix (peas and carrots, etc)
salt and pepper to taste

Add everything but the chickpeas and nutritional yeast to a pot and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, make the dumplings.
2 c whole-wheat flour
2 tsp salt
12 Tbsp water (I used probably double this)
Mix together to form a large ball of dough. Then pull apart into small pieces and add to the pot with the other ingredients. Then add the chickpeas and nutritional yeast. In a separate cup dissolve 4 Tbsp cornstarch with some water, and then add it to the soup to thicken it up.
