The Irresistible Urge to Tell the Truth

The first 2 minutes of this video describes me perfectly!!
Do you do this too?

This video is an introduction to the incredible Dr. Colin Campbell, one of the brilliant makers of the documentary Forks Over Knives. I came across it on this excellent webpage introducing the “stars” of Forks Over Knives and their specialties.

I have found myself passionately defending the truth to any and all who will listen, and the resistance that comes with it. It’s disheartening and frustrating at times to see the reactions and misconceptions people have, but it’s also been so beautiful to see just how many people are making changes in their life for the good because of the information I’ve shared with them. This is what makes it all worth it.

Yes, I wish some of these big organizations would promote something other than those three options. When my mother had cancer 12 years ago she would not consider any treatment that wasn’t recommended by her doctor or by well-publicized, mainstream (read: well-funded by big pharma) organizations. Her doctor actually said, “I tell cancer patients to eat whatever they want.” My mother took this to mean it was okay to eat Bugles snacks and bacon all the time. She rejected every other option I presented to her because it wasn’t specifically endorsed by her doctor. These old-school attitudes do not result in health and happiness.
